ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process loan files in accordance with established credit union policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory procedures.
  • Analyze and calculate borrower income to determine loan eligibility and support underwriting decisions.
  • Order and track third-party services, including appraisals, title work, verifications, and flood certifications.
  • Access and utilize the credit union's core system to retrieve member account data, profiles, and support documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, update loan status, and ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, loan officers, and other internal teams to ensure timely processing and pipeline management.
  • Participate in department projects and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Associate Business Degree Preferred Experience:
One to two years of mortgage experience preferred Any applicable system/program knowledge Open close LOS, FICS, Symitar. Additional Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat or similar document tools.
  • Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting) and strong general technical aptitude.
  • Strong understanding of and adherence to state and federal lending regulations, as well as secondary market and investor guidelines.
OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION
Physical Demands:
Sitting for long periods at a time. Regularly required to talk or listen. Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 lbs. Vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
Mental Demands:
Must understand and follow a set of clear oral and/or written procedures without deviation. Performs repetitive routine tasks. Withstand moderate amounts of stress. Must adhere to a provided work schedule to meet a set of qualitative production standards. Perform tasks that vary little from day to day. Implements others' decisions/procedures with little judgment required. Must relay information orally.
