JOB SUMMARY
An Escrow Specialist II processes most escrow and insurance setup, analysis, maintenance, and disbursements. The specialist provides guidance to other associates, documents procedures, researches and corrects issues.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Escrow Specialist position is accountable for providing high level of customer service to internal and external customers with operational integrity. Primary responsibilities include procurement and payment of assigned lender paid escrowed items, including Homeowners Insurance, Property Taxes, PMI, LPMI, FHA, Mortgage Life-disability-accidental death Insurance prior to their due date avoiding any and all penalties and interest. Evaluates loans and performs escrow analysis both when requested and annually to ensure all escrowed loans remain compliant. This position will work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Loan Operations Manager. Assists supervisor with performing quality control on processes and work to ensure compliance with RESPA, CFPB, state and federal law and investor guidelines that relate to escrow tax, flood and forced placed insurance requirements and PMI regulations. Ensure adherence to AML/BSA requirements, operational procedures, audit procedures, risk/control expectations, dual control, security, Business Continuity, and all other regulated banking requirements. Adhere to Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High school graduate, some college preferred. 2+ years general banking experience, including at least 3 years of experience in mortgage, commercial and/or consumer loan escrow processing or equivalent. Possess strong PC skills, Word, and Excel, or equivalent. Ability to transfer skills to other software programs.
