- The Pre-Processing Quality Lead provides operational coverage for the Pre-Processing Manager as needed, ensuring continuity of support aligned with capacity and staffing requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific activities may change from time to time.- Ensure adherence to established pre-processing guidelines, controls, and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Partner with the Pre-Processing Manager to support audit responses (e.g., TAS, Governance, QC findings)
- Assist in the implementation of updates to policies, procedures, and systems
- Perform file reviews and audits to ensure quality assurance and compliance
- Support resolution of Sales disputes, escalations, and exception scenarios
- Reinforce consistent and professional communication standards across the team
- Provide clear and actionable feedback to Loan Officers regarding missing documentation and identified errors
- Maintain a reduced but complex personal loan pipeline (e.g., escalations, high-risk or exception loans)
- Provide guidance, direction, and coaching to Pre-Processing staff
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex loan issues and scenarios
- Deliver real-time feedback to improve loan quality submissions, with awareness of downstream impacts and overall process flow
- Support onboarding of new hires and development/upskilling of existing team members
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
1. 4-6 years mortgage experience 2. Strong knowledge of all loan types (Conventional, Government, Bond, Portfolio) 3. Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume pipeline (20+ loans) 4. Prior experience mentoring or training people 5. Advanced understanding of AUS, LQS, and underwriting standards 6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with Sales and internal leadership 7. Proficiency in mortgage platforms (e.g., Empower) and Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred:
1. Prior experience in leadership or a team lead capacity 2. Experience collaborating with offshore or vendor teams 3. Exposure to quality control audits, risk controls, or governance processes 4.
