Full job description Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Loan Processor to join our dynamic Sun West Mortgage team. The ideal candidate should have a background in loan processing, pre-underwriting, with an understanding of
FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA & FHLMC
guidelines. Qualifications Strong customer service skills required Must possess strong mathematical and judgment skills Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines Must comply with industry-related regulations, requirements, and state/federal laws Ability to work independently to meet production and quality goals Proficient with Microsoft Office suite Extensive telephone usage Extensive oral and written communication required Responsibilities Perform a thorough review and analysis of borrower's credit, employment, income, and assets and supporting documentation as required by the loan program before submitting to underwriting. Verify all required documentation (pre-underwrite) in the file. Verify that an application is complete and accurate; and identify any potential issues that may arise in underwriting. Ensure the accuracy of documentation included but not limited to the loan application (1003) Communicate directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter to obtain initial and any missing documentation required to qualify for the loan. Review loans for compliance with all mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) and prepare required disclosures. Communicate with various companies credit agencies, Flood Certificate, Title Commitment, and payoff information. Verify that vendor orders are complete & invoices received Manage pipeline by completing and submitting reports within allotted turn-around times. Weekly pipeline reviews and loan officers and team Assist set-up of loans. Document all communication related to the loan application in the conversation log. Assist with post-closing documentation
