Non-Exempt/In-Person Summary of Job Functions:

This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple responsibilities while providing exceptional customer service. The Lock Desk Analyst will be required to cover a broad area of responsibilities within the Lock Desk Team, which include, but not limited to completing lock desk functions based on requests from both internal and external clients, monitoring and completing requests from assigned work queues, and handling questions. The individual is expected to maintain awareness, understanding and compliance with Sistar Mortgage's "Code of Ethics", internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations that are appropriate for their position.

Duties:

• Lock new loans with investors and within the internal Loan Origination System (LOS), process extension requests, and revise locks under the direction of the lock desk Manager
• Manage the work queue efficiently by providing timely support to Sales Teams and Operations staff as needed.
• Enforce the Sistar Mortgage Rate Lock Policy while collaborating closely with Sales and Operations Staff.
• Work with Secondary Marketing / Lock Desk Manager on maintaining data integrity within the hedge pipeline
• Respond to escalation and research requests related to pricing.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of general mortgage experience preferably in Capital Markets or Secondary marketing with Pricing / Lock Desk knowledge is a plus.
• 1 year of experience in a Mortgage company/Bank as a Closer/Funder. Working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA/VA mortgage programs.
• Strong critical thinking and statistical math skills.
• Effective and courteous communication with external and internal clients across departments and locations, including: o Manage locking mortgage loans in a team-oriented environment. o Review and confirm all lock requests match investor lock confirmations. o Understand how loans are priced for all mortgage products.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and the ability to work within strict deadlines
• Ability to appropriately and tactfully handle confidential information.
• Good organizational and project-tracking skills.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt rapidly.

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor's in business/marketing preferred but not required
