Loan Preparation Specialist I

Job Description

Overview The purpose of this job is to prepare accurate and complete loan, security, and compliance documents and related correspondence for the less complex commercial OR consumer loans in accordance with the application, legal and compliance requirements, and bank policy and procedures. This job requires the ability to proficiently prepare documents for one or more market areas. Responsibilities Examine and interpret loan applications and other source documents for completeness and accuracy of data essential for appropriate categorization of loan transaction and document preparation Identify missing or incomplete information necessary to prepare loan and request needed information from lender Utilize image system and/or the collateral folder to obtain additional information needed for loan preparation Prepare loan, security, and compliance documents and related correspondence within established time frames based on application and supporting source documents by utilizing Laser Pro automated document preparation system and Word application and deliver complete loan package to lender for closing utilizing email or DocuSign Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Junior college/two years college training -OR- equivalent job related experience At least 1 year experience in commercial OR consumer collateral, security, and lien perfection requirements for one or more of the bank's market areas At least 1 year experience in loan compliance regulations Time management principles to prioritize workload Strong communication/interpersonal skills Organizational skills Detail oriented Computer skills Word/Excel E-Mail and Internet Customer service Effective analytical skills Ability to use sound judgment
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
