General Position Scope:
The Collateral and Safekeeping Specialist is responsible for the daily filing, review, processing, monitoring and safekeeping of collateral documents received in Loan Operations to ensure liens are perfected and collateral documents are released/terminated in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review, manage and track pending and outstanding collateral trailing documents Identify and resolve issues regarding liens and/or safekeeping of these documents Efficient daily filing of UCC Financing Statements Ensure Collateral Database is updated daily and properly monitored and documented Ensure proficiency in the use and maintenance of all electronic filing systems including but not limited to Titles and UCC's Efficiency in review and posting of payments for all title application requests received Review and process daily, weekly and monthly collateral tracking reports Loading and maintenance of exceptions to ensure documents are tracked and received and reports are generated correctly Communicate effectively with branch personnel and vendors regarding trailing document inquiries Ensure efficiency when mailing documents and preparing written documentation once loans are paid in full Ensure collateral inventory is imaged and properly maintained and secured in the designated area in Loan Operations Maintain a high level of cooperation with branch personnel to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service Ensure efficient documentation of collateral releases and terminations Reconcile Monthly Invoices Other duties as assigned. Participation in the bank's High-Performance Connections program. Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management. Provide support to Compliance Assistant and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank's standard of conduct.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Two or more years of banking and loan documentation experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook Attention to detail Strong organization and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary.
