You'll work closely with members, internal partners, and third-party vendors to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, compliant, and moving toward a timely closing. What You'll Do As a Home Equity Loan Processor I , you'll support members throughout the home equity lending process while helping ensure an efficient and positive experience: Review home equity loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Coordinate with members, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to obtain required documentation and information. Prepare and distribute required lending disclosures in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations. Order and review appraisals, flood certifications, title searches, title insurance, and other required loan documentation. Perform quality checks on loan files prior to underwriting and closing. Manage a pipeline of home equity applications and follow up on outstanding items to support timely loan progression. Document member and vendor communications within the loan origination system. Prepare loan files for closing and ensure required documentation is properly completed, disbursed, and maintained. Educate members on the loan process, required documentation, and next steps while providing regular updates throughout the application process. Identify opportunities to connect members with additional financial products and services that may support their financial needs. Maintain compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and applicable lending regulations. What You Bring to theTable Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in consumer loan processing or underwriting support, with prior experience in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution.Skills:
Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and time management skills. Basic knowledge of consumer and home equity lending products, loan documentation, and lending regulations. Experience using loan origination systems, Microsoft Office, and standard banking platforms preferred.Licensing:
Must maintain registration with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).Availability:
