Main Office located at 1111 North Street Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 Position Summary Mauch Chunk Trust Company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Consumer Loan ProcessorClosing closer to support the processing and closing of residential mortgage, home equity, and consumer loans. This position manages loan files from application through closing and funding, ensuring that documentation is complete, accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable regulations and internal policies. The successful candidate will communicate regularly with borrowers, loan officers, bankers, underwriters, title companies, and other business partners to help deliver an efficient and positive lending experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review residential mortgage applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established lending standards. Verify borrower information, including assets, liabilities, employment history, income, collateral, and requested loan terms. Serve as a liaison among borrowers, loan officers, bankers, underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and other third parties. Provide borrowers with timely updates regarding the status of their loan applications and outstanding documentation. Collect required documentation from applicants and follow up promptly on missing or incomplete items. Prepare and issue required TRID disclosures and redisclosures, including Loan Estimates, Closing Disclosures, change-in-circumstance disclosures, and rate-lock documentation. Maintain working knowledge of the Bank's loan origination and processing systems, including administrative functions, fee updates, and other compliance-related information. Order and review credit reports, title reports, appraisals, flood determinations, and other required documentation. Review approved loans to verify that all underwriting and closing conditions have been satisfied. Prepare closing packages and other required loan documents for residential mortgages, home equity loans and lines of credit, personal loans, and personal lines of credit. Coordinate loan closing dates and maintain the loan calendar to ensure effective communication regarding closings and disbursements. Balance Closing Disclosures and wire amounts with title companies. Prepare and transmit funding wires to title companies in accordance with established procedures. Obtain loan payoffs and complete employment verifications. Maintain accurate pipeline reports and provide status updates to management. Update daily rate sheets and system rates for mortgage, home equity, and consumer loan products. Prepare mortgage and home equity modifications, change-in-terms agreements, and related documents. Review consumer loan denials for accuracy and communicate with applicants when necessary. Update collateral tracking records upon receipt of recorded documents. Maintain complete and compliant electronic loan files, including scanning and saving documents as required. Maintain spreadsheets, databases, records, and recurring internal reports. Complete annual reporting, file maintenance, and record-retention responsibilities. Ensure loan files comply with applicable regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal policies and procedures. Identify and recommend procedural improvements that may increase accuracy, efficiency, or the customer experience. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in business, finance, banking, or a related field preferred. One to two years of relevant experience in mortgage processing, loan servicing, loan administration, lending operations, or a related banking function preferred. Working knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines, loan documentation, and applicable regulations, including TRID, preferred. Experience with loan origination or bank processing systems preferred. Experience with Vision or a similar banking platform is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and responsive customer-service skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with lenders, bankers, underwriters, and external business partners. Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret and apply lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical calculations and balance financial information. Strong computer aptitude and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn and effectively use loan origination, document preparation, and core banking systems.
