Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Closer to support the home loan closing process for a national building company with operations in the Pittsburgh area from start to finish. This role is responsible for coordinating closing activities, preparing loan documents, reviewing files for accuracy, and helping ensure all deadlines are met. The ideal candidate is organized, thorough, and able to work effectively with multiple internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities Prepare initial and final closing disclosures within required timeframes
Prepare and distribute closing documents to buyers and title companies
Coordinate and manage closing schedules
Initiate funding wires for loan closings
Review signed closing packages for completeness before shipment
Audit loan files for quality control and accuracy prior to closing
Clear closing conditions and confirm files are ready to close
Partner with internal departments and external contacts to meet deadlines and ensure a smooth closing process
- Previous experience in mortgage closing, loan processing, loan origination, or a closely related function.
- Working knowledge of residential mortgage documentation and the closing process from disclosure through funding.
- Familiarity with Encompass or similar mortgage loan origination systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organizational ability with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage several files at once while meeting strict deadlines.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support.
- Successful completion of required pre-employment screening, which may include drug testing and a credit check.
