Job Summary The Loan Processor is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing loan applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with lending guidelines and regulatory requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between borrowers, loan originators, underwriters, appraisers, title companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the timely approval and closing of loans. The Loan Processor is responsible for managing loan files from application through closing while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Loan File Processing & Review Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy. Collect, analyze, and verify borrower information, including income, assets, credit, and employment documentation. Prepare and maintain complete loan files in accordance with company and investor requirements. Identify missing information and obtain required documentation from borrowers and third parties. Submit complete loan files for underwriting review. Loan Coordination & Pipeline Management Manage assigned loan pipeline to ensure timely processing and closing. Monitor loan status and follow up on outstanding conditions. Coordinate activities with loan officers, underwriters, appraisers, title companies, and closing personnel. Communicate loan progress and status updates to customers and stakeholders. Ensure established service level agreements and deadlines are met. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure loan files comply with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Review documentation for accuracy and consistency. Maintain compliance with applicable lending laws and regulations. Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies prior to underwriting or closing. Assist with audits and quality control reviews as required. Customer Service & Communication Serve as a point of contact for borrowers throughout the loan process. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and requests. Provide guidance regarding documentation requirements and next steps. Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Administrative Support & Reporting Maintain accurate loan records and system updates. Prepare reports and pipeline tracking information. Organize and maintain electronic and physical loan files. Assist with departmental projects and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. Experience One (1) to three (3) years of mortgage, banking, lending, loan processing, or financial services experience preferred. Experience reviewing financial and supporting documentation. Experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment Associate's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
