Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Mortgage Loan Opener , where you'll help move home loans forward by coordinating key third‑party services, ensuring accuracy, and supporting our lending teams. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to delivering excellent service. Responsibilities Order the required third-party services on each loan file such as appraisals, title obligations, social security verifications, and IRS tax transcripts. Follow up with title companies to ensure receipt of title requests. Monitor title request status to ensure requests are obtained by Univest in a timely manner. When required, communicate with title companies when updates/changes are needed. Regularly communicate title request status with internal team (opening, processing, closing). Review title for accuracy and required information. Ensure timely and free processing of mortgage loan openings (in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures) upon receiving application including: Upload signed initial disclosure documents received back from loan applicants. Check loan applicants and all interested parties to each loan file against exclusionary lists (LDP/GSA). Obtain third-party verifications of borrowers' employers. Order CAIVRS and FHA case numbers for all FHA loans. Process appraisal fees received via auto debit, check, or credit card daily. Pull and manage multiple weekly service reports for services not ordered and services ordered but not received. Follow up with vendors on orders not received. Facilitate communications between service providers, home loan consultants, and mortgage processors. Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including Univest Code of Conduct. Ensure E-SIGN consent is obtained. Prepare initial disclosure package in accordance with TRID regulations verifying the accuracy of the fees disclosed. Obtain the Certificate of Eligibility for borrowers on VA loans. Issue initial disclosure package to borrowers via Encompass. Verify the subject property address on all loans via USPS.Com. Facilitate communications between service providers, home loan consultants, and mortgage processors. Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of Title Insurance a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Well organized, detail-oriented, and conscientious; metric and deadline focused. Must demonstrate good judgment, the ability to work and resolve problems, and the ability to work freely. Knowledge of MS Office Suite; knowledge of Encompass a plus. Motivated professional who strives to exceed customer (internal and external) expectations.
Wage Range:
The salary for this position ranges from $18.00 to $22.00
