$35.00/hour About the Role Mountain Lakes LLC is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Remote Loan Processor to support the Loan Officer team throughout the mortgage loan process. The Loan Processor will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining loan files, collecting and reviewing required documentation, communicating with borrowers and third parties, tracking loan milestones, and ensuring files remain accurate, complete, and on schedule. This fully remote position is ideal for an experienced mortgage professional who understands the importance of accuracy, timely follow-up, confidentiality, and excellent communication in a fast-paced lending environment. Key Responsibilities Process and manage residential mortgage loan files from application through closing. Collect, organize, and review borrower documentation for completeness and accuracy. Follow up with borrowers for outstanding income, asset, employment, identification, and other required documentation. Review loan documents and supporting information for consistency and completeness. Enter and maintain accurate loan information in the company's loan origination system (LOS), CRM, and related databases. Coordinate with Loan Officers, borrowers, underwriters, processors, title companies, real estate professionals, and other third parties. Track loan conditions, documentation, deadlines, milestones, and outstanding items. Prepare loan files for underwriting and assist with gathering documentation needed to satisfy underwriting conditions. Monitor loan status and provide timely updates to Loan Officers and borrowers. Request and track required third-party documentation, including verification and title-related items as applicable. Assist with disclosures, document preparation, and other loan-processing tasks within the scope of the position and applicable regulations. Qualifications 2+ years of mortgage loan processing experience preferred. Experience with residential mortgage lending, loan origination, banking, real estate, or financial services. Strong understanding of the mortgage loan process from application through closing. Familiarity with loan documentation, underwriting conditions, disclosures, and closing requirements. Experience using a Loan Origination System (LOS), CRM, or mortgage processing software. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and responsive borrower communication skills. Ability to manage multiple loan files and competing deadlines independently. Strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace. Ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment. Strong professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

Compliance This position is intended to provide loan-processing and administrative support within the scope permitted by applicable laws and regulations. The Remote Loan Processor will not independently approve or deny loans, make underwriting decisions, determine borrower eligibility, set or negotiate loan terms, provide unauthorized mortgage advice, or perform activities requiring an MLO license unless appropriately licensed and authorized. The Loan Processor is expected to follow all applicable company policies, regulatory requirements, privacy standards, and compliance procedures.
