Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our Assisted Living team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. As a Cook, you will be responsible for following Grove Menus. Creating meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and are eager to contribute. Duties Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in special dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients. Collaborate with other staff to ensure they are temping foods correctly and are documenting foods according to state guidelines. The cook will ensure timely meal service, according to Assisted Living meal times. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with shopping as needed. Provide support to serving staff on rules and safety regulations. The cook will be responsible for cleaning of shelves, refrigerators, freezers and floors in the food storage area. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation or as a Cook for 40 elderly residents. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the Assisted Living food industry is preferred but not mandatory. Candidate must have Serve Safe Card, if not facility will help to obtain one.
