Job Summary Hawaii Mortgage Experts is a locally owned mortgage brokerage serving homebuyers across Oahu. We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Processor Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work directly alongside our licensed mortgage brokers to manage the loan pipeline, collect financial documents, and guide clients from application to closing. This is an entry-to-mid-level position, ideal for someone looking to build a career in mortgage and real estate finance — right here in Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities Document Management:

Request, gather, and review critical borrower documents including W-2s, tax returns, bank statements, and paystubs.

File Preparation:

Input client information into our loan origination system, ensuring all physical and digital files are accurate and organized.

Pipeline Monitoring:

Track the milestone status of multiple loans, ensuring conditional approvals and deadlines are met on time.

Liaison Communication:

Act as a helpful point of contact between borrowers, mortgage brokers, title companies, escrow officers, and real estate agents.

Administrative Support:

Order third-party services such as credit reports, property appraisals, flood certifications, and verification of employment (VOE).

Qualifications & Skills Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred).

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of administrative or customer service experience (prior real estate, banking, or mortgage experience is a strong plus).

Software:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and standard office tech; familiarity with loan origination software is a plus.

Detail-Oriented:

Exceptional attention to detail to catch missing information and prevent filing delays.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle sensitive financial conversations with professional empathy.
