Closing and Post-Closing Manager Associated Mortgage Bankers, Inc. (NMLS #24794) and Elliman Capital are hiring a Funder to own funding and post-closing and to serve as backup to the Closing and Post-Closing Manager. The role covers agency, jumbo, and Non-QM production across multiple states and works closely with closing, loan officers, settlement agents, and accounting. Hybrid schedule out of our Miami office in Edgewater.
Responsibilities:
Review executed closing packages for accuracy, completeness, and correct execution prior to funding Clear final funding conditions and confirm lender and investor requirements are satisfied Prepare wire requests, verify disbursement figures against the final CD and settlement statement, and coordinate release with the warehouse bank Apply callback and verification protocols on all wires and escalate fraud indicators Maintain the funding log and reconcile daily funding activity with accounting Manage post-closing delivery, loan registration, trailing documents, and investor purchase follow-up Resolve funding suspense items and investor conditions to protect purchase timelines Back up the Closing and Post-Closing Manager on CD preparation, balancing with settlement agents, and issuance of closing packages Report funding and closing status to loan officers and settlement agents throughout the day Contribute to funding and post-closing procedure documentation
Qualifications:
2+ years of mortgage funding, closing, or post-closing experience with a lender Familiarity with state-level requirements affecting funding, including Texas Section 50(a)(6) closing rules, New York CEMA and attorney closings, and California per diem and disbursement timing Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, and Reg Z as applied to final figures and disbursement Experience with Non-QM, bank statement, DSCR, and jumbo product alongside conventional Ability to prepare or review a Closing Disclosure and balance with a settlement agent Proficiency in Encompass; nCino experience preferred Demonstrated wire and warehouse discipline Accuracy under deadline pressure and sound judgment on when to hold a wire Associated Mortgage Bankers, Inc. and Elliman Capital are equal opportunity employers.
