Overview The Mortgage Servicing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of residential mortgage loans following closing. This role ensures accurate loan maintenance, regulatory compliance, and high-quality customer support throughout the life of the loan. The position supports servicing activities including payment processing and borrower inquiries while adhering to state and federal regulations and investor guidelines (e.g., Portfolio, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, and FHLB where applicable). - Handles straightforward customer inquiries; escalates complex issues
- Performs routine mortgage loan servicing tasks including processing mortgage payments, preparing mortgage payoff quotes, mortgage satisfactions, and recording mortgage documents.
- Responsible for FIS system maintenance of loan payments made via ACH.
- Performs daily review and processing of various loan level reports to ensure unapplied funds and non-post items are credited to the loans timely and accurately.
- Research outstanding items on various loan GL's and DDA's and clear within appropriate timeframes.
- Identify potential prospects for customer convenience opportunities (i.e., APO, EDO). Job Requirements - Education, Knowledge and Skills
