Full Time Scope of Job:
This position will be responsible for the development of loans & budgets within the Construct software. This position also requires work with loan documentation and loan servicing in accordance with established systems and procedures by performing high volume, time sensitive tasks that require a high degree of accuracy. Incumbent will develop a thorough understanding of Horizon loan boarding requirements and work with Bank associates to ensure various loan type requirements are understood and accurate. This position will provide high quality customer service to both internal and external customers while meeting the bank's compliance and documentation quality standards. Contribute to the development and testing of the construction loan servicing process for the bank. Maintain high level of customer confidentiality.
Primary Duties:
Responsible to create a budget in the software and process construction loan draw requests ensuring that established controls and procedures are being followed and in compliance with loan policy, internal/external audit requirements, and any regulatory requirements. Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the construction lending system and data for all projects. Work together with the Business Development Officer during the establishment of the initial budget and throughout the construction project. Provide reporting on the status of the construction project with respect to budget. As time allows, activate new loans and perform maintenance for all loan types on a daily basis. Ensure accuracy of data entry and compliance with regulatory and system requirements. Ensure confidentiality both internally and externally. Respond quickly and positively to inquiries or requests for assistance regarding input requirements for the mainframe, payment processing, operational and regulatory items. Assist with research and trouble-shooting. Develop solutions for unique loan or maintenance requests and possess knowledge of how Horizon processes loan data. Serve as back up with lending software and continuously evaluate the lending software by ensuring efficiency and reliability on technical, operational, and functionality issues. Assist with any training needed for employees. Serve as back up on ordering Residential real estate appraisals.
Secondary Duties:
Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products. Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management. Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs. Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization. Community involvement is strongly encouraged. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
2 years' experience in related field.
Knowledge and Special Skills:
Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities. Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output. Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service. Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers. Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description. Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures. Knowledge of BankWest products and services. Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
