The Commercial Lending Assistant II supports commercial lenders by managing documentation, application input, and coordination of loan processing activities. This role works with moderate oversight and is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks through loan closing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Documentation & Application Management:
Independently gather and verify documentation from borrowers and third parties. Input and review loan application data for accuracy. Assemble loan packages and prepare transmittals for lender review. 2.Process Coordination:
Place and track orders for title, appraisals, and related services. Coordinate all activities through the request for documents stage. Schedule and facilitate loan closings and funding coordination. 3.Communication & Compliance:
Prepare and deliver denial communications as needed. Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Communicate proactively with lenders, clients, and team members. Identify and escalate issues to senior staff as appropriate. Contribute to process improvements and team initiatives. Compliance with any and all BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions requirements set forth by Bank Policy and Procedure, including but not limited to timely completion of assigned training.SECONDARY DUTIES

This position is not responsible for the supervision of staff.ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

In the course of performing the duties and responsibilities of this position spends time writing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), sitting, typing on a computer keyboard, and standing, kneeling and reaching. The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, copy and fax machine, adding machine, computer and related printers. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred. 0-2 years of experience in banking, lending, or administrative support.
