JOB FUNCTION
To provide administrative support to lending department staff to include but not limited to, scheduling appointments, receiving visitors, collateral tracking for all loan types. Duties will be diverse based on assignments which require knowledge of consumer/commercial loan, and department operation and technical procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in processing new/renewed loans to include talking with customers, preparing loan worksheets, preparing debt and deposit recaps, obtaining credit reports, ordering documents, and proofing loan documents Will meet with customers to close the loan, funding loan, collecting related fees and recording related collateral documents Manage pipeline report that documents status of renewing loans, new loans, prospective loans, and letters of credits Assist loan officers in preparation of loan packages for loan committee meetings Assist Loan Officers in pulling reports including, but not limited to Past Due Loans, Coming Due Loans and Exceptions (Financial and Collateral) Assist in the collection of past due loan payments, requesting deposits to cover overdrawn accounts and decision NSF items on a daily basis Greet and assist loan customers, arrange appointments, and help with the loan application process Work to resolve loan exceptions to ensure bank's interests are protected Communicate with 3rd party legal counsel, title companies, and other appropriate parties regarding ordering and formatting loan documents, title commitments, collateral valuations, or other appropriate documents for large commercial transactions. Will order appraisals and other environmental due diligence information Adhere to Loan Policy, bank procedures and regulatory requirements when processing loans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience 2 to 3 years as an assistant in a commercial lending environment with pre- and post-closing experience working directly with the Borrower and Third-Parties inclusive of Attorney, Title Companies and Back Office Administration Strong organizational and customer service skills Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Experience N/A Supervisory Experience N/A Education/Skills/Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent College courses in lending preferred Knowledge of depository and lending policies and guidelines Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in dynamic environment, that demands the ability to manage multiple, and often competing priorities Detail oriented; high degree of accuracy Equipment/Machines/Software Experience using Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint) Experience using File Ability to work with office equipment such as phone system, calculator, copiers, scanners, shredders, and fax Jack Henry knowledge preferred Competency Requirements Must be able to hear and speak to communicate with customers Proven organizational skills with ability to multi-task and follow assigned tasks through completion Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must be accustomed to a fast-paced office environment Must have the ability to work with frustrated or anxious customers Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, push and pull files up to 20 pounds Must be able to bend, stoop and be mobile within office environment Must be able to sit for most of the day in front of a computer Must be able to speak and hear customers Must be able to see computer screen to read and type on the keyboard Occasional travel to other banking centers for meetings This job description does not imply an employment contract, nor is it intended to include every duty and responsibility that the employee is responsible for.
