Responsibilities:
This is a role for a Settlements Apprentice for North America Physical Crude Oil, Refined Products and Metals trading activity. Current need is for copper settlements apprentice, but candidate must be willing to transfer skills across commodities. In this role, the incumbent will interact closely with Trading, Middle Office, and Scheduling personnel as well as external counterparties to ensure that all Payable and Receivable invoices for transactions associated with the Purchase and/or Sale of for Physical Refined Metals, Crude Oil, Refined Oil Products, Distillates, Fuel Oil, Ethanol, and other Products accurately reconcile against risk systems and ancillary documents. Those invoices will then be processed to effectuate the Payment or Receipt of funds associated with those transactions, including the investigation and resolution of any payment fails by either party to the transactions. This is a 1 year apprenticeship.
Technical qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. 0-3 years working experience in an office environment Experience with the Amphora/ICTS system a plus Experience settling transactions related to Physical Crude Oil, Refined Products, and similar products; candidates possessing experience across multiple products types will be given preferential consideration. A basic understanding of settlements risk metrics, identification of settlements breaks, resolution of settlements breaks, and escalation is required. Experience in the Scheduling aspects of the referenced products is a plus. Experience designing, building, and testing the technology infrastructure related to settlements processing is a plus.
