Job Description
SETTLEMENT PROCESSOR SUMMARY
This position assists internal and external customers with their needs including but not limited to, customer service, typing and assisting the closing officer in compiling the necessary information to ensure that select closings are handled and are disbursed promptly and that the recorded documents are forwarded to the proper authority and any other requests by customers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following:- Handling of incoming calls, scheduling and other customer service needs.
- Complete set-up of orders for searches, title commitments and listing packages.
- Types title commitments and/or policies. § Proofreads the typed data.
- Facilitates the preparation of broker and settlement packages on behalf of the Company.
- Responsible for obtaining relevant information for the completion of broker documents or settlement package.
- Assists with the post-closing disbursement/recording needs of the settlement package.
- Fulfills the title requirements for issuance of a final policy. § Ensures that the documents are in an accurate and recordable form. § Assures compliance with the Verified Title Settlement Standards procedures, including proper balancing of the file and collection of proper receipts.
- Other duties as requested by Management.
