Job Title:
Mortgage Loan Processor Job Description:
At First Citizens State Bank, our mission is to provide a first-class loan experience for every customer. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of essential back-office tasks that support the overall loan process. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize daily responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Order appraisals, title work, and flood determinations. Maintain calendars and loan pipeline tracking. Organize pending loan files, update WUP, and identify & track missing documentation. Prepare loan documentation and payoff statements, including for Gremar and Bielinkski, and apply pay off funds. Manage escrow-related insurance, including paying and tracking homeowners' insurance, forced-placed homeowners and flood insurance, and mailing required notices. Manage PMI payments and cancellations. Review teller work for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma required. Prior experience in banking or loan operations is a plus but not required.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
