Job Summary The Night Auditor is responsible for performing close of day scenarios for the hotel Front Office and account for daily activity by organizing and verifying information; identifying and correcting discrepancies; posting accounts; running and distributing daily reports. What will I be doing? As a Night Auditor, you would be responsible for performing including but not limited to the following tasks to the highest standards: Detailed Job Duties To follow all specified procedures to audit the shift closing of all front office staff To produce accurate and timely reports and correctly handle all cash transactions To follow all specified procedures to reconcile cashier's reports with the restaurant system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shifts. Balance and audit for accuracy room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashier's reports, and guest and house accounts and telephone revenue; assisting the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues. Transmit credit card batches. Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents Perform all Front Desk Agent functions as required; Responsible for checking in and out of hotel guests, creating walk- in and booking call-in reservations, answering hotel phone calls, answering general guest questions following Brand standards. This position will work closely with Breckenridge Emergency Services assisting with guest emergencies and evacuations during night time hours. Respond to, and assist guests with housekeeping related requests Assist housekeeping department with light stocking and cleaning as needed Communicate with overnight security as needed Ensure PCI compliance and computer security when on shift May assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) Excellent organizational skills Professional and polite Minimum 1 experience in Front Desk / Night Audit role. General accounting knowledge Microsoft Office and ONQ knowledge Ability Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holiday. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness Ability to be self-motivated and work at a fast pace Ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines Ability to clearly communicate with guests, co-workers, and management. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and other office equipment. The employee must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is expected to bend stoop, squat, kneel, climb and crawl, depending upon work tasks and to lift up to 25 lbs. when lifting ,helping guest with luggage, and moving office supplies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Education Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High School graduate or equivalent required.
