Come join our team as a part-time Overnight GuestFamily Experience Associate at Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay. In this vital overnight role, you will ensure a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment for families staying with us during a time of medical crisis. About us The Mission of Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Our Vision is a world where every family has what they need to ensure the best health outcomes for their children. Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay (RMH-TB) has been working to improve the health and well-being of children and their families since 1980. Our primary program, the Ronald McDonald House, provides a place to stay for families that have children receiving medical treatment at Tampa Bay hospitals and outpatient centers. RMH-TB operates 5 Ronald McDonald Houses in Tampa Bay, 3 located in St. Petersburg and 2 located in Tampa.
Position Overview Location:

Tampa, Florida Schedule:
10:00 PM - 8:00 AM | 2-3 nights per week (20-30hrs/week)

401(k) eligibility after 90 days Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional overnight guest service with a compassionate, family-centered approach. Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies, following established protocols. Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning shared spaces, restocking supplies, and supporting room turnovers as needed. Ensure accurate guest registration, check-in, and check-out processes. Learn and use database systems to track guest information and generate basic reports (training provided). Demonstrate strong customer service, communication skills, and emotional awareness. Ability to work overnight hours reliably and adapt to overnight schedules. Housekeeping or cleaning experience, or willingness to perform these duties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS/RESTRICTIONS
Requirements:
High School Diploma Required. Must meet healthcare requirements of partner hospital, complete biannual CPR training and annual fire alarm training. Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity toward the intersections of ability, class, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religion/spirituality, and sexual orientation. Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Experience Spanish proficiency/Bilingual ability strongly preferred.
Mental Demands:
The ability to read and comprehend documents and instruments. Must perform detailed work utilizing reasoning and problem-solving skills and complete multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions. Possess excellent oral and written communications skills, interpersonal skills at all levels of the non-profit field, and organizational skills. Must be able to serve as a pro-active resource for guests, staff, and community members.
Physical Demands:
This job involves all the following in various degrees but is not limited to only these physical demands: attendance, standing, sitting, walking, squatting, carrying, lifting, climbing, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, cleaning, typing, writing, hearing, seeing, speaking. The ability to push up to 50 pounds and lift up to 40 pounds.
SupervisionScheduling Demands:
Receives light supervision; often the sole employee on shift. May require occasional attendance at special events/functions of the organization.
