Night Auditor 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Position Overview The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during the overnight shift while completing all nightly financial and accounting processes in accordance with IHG brand standards and hotel policies. This role requires accuracy, accountability, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Primary Responsibilities Front Desk Operations Greet and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner. Process check-ins and check-outs accurately. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns. Monitor lobby and public areas for safety and cleanliness. Ensure property security during overnight hours. Night Audit & Financial Duties Run end-of-day reports and complete night audit procedures. Balance daily revenue, room charges, and payment transactions. Verify accuracy of guest folios and correct discrepancies. Reconcile credit card transactions and cash drawer. Post room and tax charges correctly. Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports to management. Policy & Financial Controls Follow strict procedures regarding: Rate changes Refunds Fee waivers Adjustments Do not modify financial transactions without proper authorization. Ensure no-show charges are processed according to policy. Maintain confidentiality of guest and financial information. Safety & Security Conduct routine property walk-throughs. Ensure all entrances are secured. Report suspicious activity immediately. Follow emergency procedures when required. Performance Expectations Complete night audit accurately and on time. Maintain accurate financial reporting with zero discrepancies. Follow all IHG brand and property policies. Demonstrate reliable overnight attendance. Maintain professional behavior and strong communication. Failure to follow financial procedures, attendance requirements, or security policies may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous hotel or night audit experience preferred. Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge preferred. Strong computer skills. Ability to work independently overnight. Must be available weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements Standing for extended periods. Light lifting (up to 25 lbs). Overnight alertness and attentiveness.

Pay:

$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
