The Night Auditor is the keeper of the property overnight: balancing the books, closing the day, caring for late-arriving guests, and setting the morning team up for success. We are looking for a detail-obsessed Rockstar who is comfortable working independently and takes pride in finishing the day clean.
Key Responsibilities Night Audit:
Execute end-of-day audit in
Cloudbeds:
post room and tax charges, balance daily revenue across all departments, run end-of-day procedures, and close the business date accurately and on time.
Reporting:
Produce and distribute the daily flash, manager flash, occupancy and ADR/RevPAR snapshots, and any other end-of-day reports for the General Manager, ownership, and department heads to review first thing in the morning.
Overnight Guest Service:
Provide check-in, check-out, and concierge services for late arrivals and walk-ins. Handle guest requests, complaints, and emergencies as the sole front desk presence; escalate to on-call leadership when warranted.
Cash Handling and Reconciliation:
Balance the cash drawer, verify credit card batches, reconcile deposits, and audit group billing and OTA postings. Document discrepancies and flag variances to the Front Office Manager and Director of Operations.
PBX and Communication:
Answer phones, route calls, take wake-up requests, and dispatch service requests to overnight engineering. Maintain accurate logbook entries and shift-to-shift handoff notes.
Property Security:
Monitor the lobby and entry points; conduct property walks as scheduled; follow key control and guest privacy protocols; execute emergency procedures (fire alarm, medical, security incidents) as trained.
Brand Standards and Handoff:
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked front desk and lobby. Prepare a thorough AM-shift handoff including pending traces, late check-outs, VIP arrivals, and any outstanding service issues.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED; eligible to work in the U.S.; able to pass background check and drug screening; available to work overnight (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) shifts including weekends and holidays; comfortable working independently overnight; strong attention to detail and basic math/10-key proficiency.
Preferred:
1+ year of hotel front desk or night audit experience; experience with Cloudbeds or comparable PMS; basic accounting or bookkeeping coursework; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field; familiarity with OTA platforms (Expedia, Booking.com, Hotelbeds).
Physical Requirements, Compensation, and Benefits Physical:
Ability to stand for 8+ hour shifts; lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds; remain alert and focused throughout overnight hours; bend, reach, and use standard office equipment.
Compensation:
Non-exempt, hourly. Starting at $16.00 to $18.00 per hour; flexible based on experience. Overtime paid per federal and state law.
