Hotel Night Auditor

Job Description

Seeking a night owl to join our staff as a Hotel Night Auditor The night auditor is often the only hotel staff member on site during the overnight hours, and is responsible for maintaining the satisfaction, safety and security of guests overnight. In addition to handling traditional front desk associate duties including guest check-in/check-out, answering calls and managing customer service requests, night auditor duties also include nightly accounting and reporting, basic cleaning/maintenance tasks and assisting with breakfast preparation.
Responsibilities:
  • Checking guests in and out as needed
  • Respond to all guest requests/complaints during audit shift and resolve according to guest service guidelines
  • Answer hotel phone for internal and external callers
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining common areas as needed
  • Assist in preparation of guest breakfast
  • Maintain and promote a positive and cooperative work relationship with all other hotel departments and associates
  • Handle other duties as directed by the Guest Services manager or General Manager
  • Post guest charges and verify, track, and balance cash and credit card receipts, vouchers, and direct bill accounts
  • Run all required computer audit reports in a timely manner
  • Investigate and analyze out-of-balance situations, providing solutions and communicating issues to guest services manager for follow up
  • Understand and comply with all emergency, safety and security procedures
  • Monitor all activity in the hotel during audit shift hours using security cameras and physically inspecting hotel grounds.
  • Follow appropriate procedures for securing hotel property, parking and pool areas.
  • Passionate about interacting with people and serving others.
  • Excellent communication, motivational and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willing to work overnight shift (usually 11pm-7am) alone on weekdays and/or weekends.
  • Able to handle stressful situations and solve problems in a calm, professional manner.
Physically able to perform all job responsibilities including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong computer skills.

From $18.00 per hour
