We are currently seeking a Part-Time Night Auditor to join our team. This role is responsible for balancing daily revenue and expense transactions, assisting guests during check-in and check-out, handling administrative tasks related to front desk operations, and managing incoming calls.
Range:
$20.50/hour
Responsibilities:
The essential front desk functions of the job include but are not limited to: Greet guests with a smile, provide assistance, and maintain a professional, hospitable demeanor. Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and direct to appropriate departments. Assist with reservations, payments, check-ins/outs, and special requests. Provide local information and recommendations. Review and respond to emails, calls, and messages during each shift. Maintain accurate reservation records and cash/credit transactions. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and participate in performance reviews. Submit an End of Shift report summarizing tasks, issues, and reservations. Communicate updates to the incoming front desk staff. Escalate rate adjustments and guest issues to management. File incident reports and ensure staff understand emergency procedures. Ensure lobby, lounge, restrooms, and outdoor areas remain clean and organized. Monitor and maintain furniture, décor, and amenities as directed. Communicate cleaning/janitorial needs to housekeeping. Track room status updates and enter into the system. Balance cash, credit card receipts, and room accounts. Run audit reports, investigate discrepancies, and make adjustments. Conduct property tours and secure hotel access points. Complete incident reports and notify appropriate departments. Adhere to dress code and attendance requirements. Maintain professional conduct and protect hotel property.
Requirements/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or accounting coursework preferred. Previous front desk, accounting, or hotel experience is strongly preferred. Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong math and basic accounting skills; ability to balance cash drawers and reconcile accounts. Comfortable using phones, email, and standard office equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide professional, courteous service and resolve guest issues calmly and effectively. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Reliability and punctuality; must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
