Hotel Night Auditor Columbus Airport Marriott - 4.0 Columbus, OH Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15.00 - $16.50 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Guest reservation booking Hotel and accommodations payment processing Night audit Financial records management Venue guest services Full Job Description Position Summary The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the overnight shift while providing exceptional guest service, ensuring guest safety, and completing all daily financial and accounting functions. This position serves as the primary hotel representative during overnight hours and is responsible for accurately balancing and reconciling daily hotel transactions. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGuest Service Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Process guest check-ins and check-outs according to hotel standards. Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies. Answer telephone calls and provide information regarding hotel services and local attractions. Resolve guest issues independently whenever possible and escalate concerns when necessary. Night Audit Functions Perform nightly audit procedures and close out the business day. Balance and reconcile all hotel revenue sources, including room, restaurant, market, banquet, and miscellaneous charges. Verify and post room rates, taxes, and fees accurately. Prepare and distribute required daily management reports. Investigate and correct discrepancies in guest accounts and financial transactions. Ensure all financial records are accurate and complete before beginning a new business day. Front Desk Operations Maintain accurate guest accounts and registration records. Process payments and ensure proper authorization of credit cards. Manage cash drawer according to hotel cash handling procedures. Ensure all guest folios are accurate and complete. Handle room moves, reservation modifications, and walk-in reservations as needed. Safety and Security Conduct periodic property inspections and security walks. Monitor hotel entrances, exits, and public areas. Respond appropriately to emergency situations, alarms, and guest incidents. Maintain awareness of hotel occupancy and emergency procedures. Document all incidents and overnight activity in the shift log. Administrative Responsibilities Prepare daily reports for hotel leadership. Review arrivals, departures, VIPs, and special requests for the following day. Ensure front desk, lobby, and market areas are organized and presentable. Monitor package deliveries and guest messages. Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information.
