Role:
The Night Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial and operational functioning of accommodation establishments during overnight hours. This position is responsible for accurately reconciling daily financial transactions, auditing guest accounts, and preparing detailed reports that support management decision-making. The Night Auditor also provides exceptional customer service to guests during the night shift, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally. By maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards, the Night Auditor helps safeguard the hotel's financial integrity. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation. Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) or similar software. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Ability to work overnight shifts and independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in hospitality management, accounting, or related field. Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Proficiency with advanced accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Certification in hospitality or accounting-related courses.

Perform nightly audit of all financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness. Reconcile daily revenue reports and prepare detailed audit reports for management review. Process guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours, providing excellent customer service and resolving guest concerns. Monitor and respond to security and safety issues, coordinating with appropriate personnel as needed. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with hotel policies and accounting procedures.

The Night Auditor utilizes strong numerical and analytical skills daily to accurately reconcile financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
