Job Description
At Candlewood Suites, we believe skills can be taught, but attitude, integrity, and a willingness to help others are what make great team members.
We are looking for Front Desk Night Audit Agents who are dependable, team-oriented, and genuinely enjoy helping people. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with others, shows up ready to contribute, and understands that every interaction helps shape a guest's experience.
Hospitality is more than checking guests in and out, it is creating a welcoming environment, anticipating guest needs, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring every guest feels valued throughout their stay. We are looking for individuals who understand the importance of service, professionalism, and attention to detail.
We value individuals who: Work well as part of a team and are willing to support their coworkers. Take ownership of their responsibilities and follow through on commitments. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even during busy or challenging situations. Are eager to learn, accept feedback, and continue developing their skills. Treat guests and fellow team members with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Look for solutions rather than waiting for someone else to solve a problem. Understand the importance of consistency, accountability, and hospitality. Can remain organized, dependable, and guest-focused throughout their shift. Take pride in representing both the hotel and the IHG brand. The Front Desk is often the first and last impression a guest has of our hotel. We are seeking individuals who can create welcoming experiences, build genuine connections with guests, and help maintain a positive environment for both our guests and our team. Primary Responsibilities Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner. Check guests in and out efficiently while ensuring all required documentation and identification requirements are met. Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and provide information regarding hotel services and local recommendations. Resolve guest concerns and service recovery situations with professionalism and empathy. Accurately process cash, credit card, and hotel transactions. Record guest preferences and communicate important information between shifts. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment. Communicate outstanding guest requests, maintenance concerns, or operational issues to management. Follow all hotel safety, security, and brand standards. Assist with guest lead generation opportunities and support hotel sales initiatives when appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred. Opera PMS experience is a major plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic sales experience is a plus. Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed. If you are dependable, hospitality-minded, willing to learn, and enjoy being part of a team that supports one another, we would love to meet you.
