- Protect hotel property, guests, and staff
- Respond to alarms and calls of distress
- Guard against theft and maintain security
- Investigate and resolve disturbances
- Patrol hotel grounds, parking lot, garages, hallways, and lobby
- Monitor and control access to hotel entrances
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service when dealing with guests
- Assist with additional duties as needed such as delivering items to guest rooms, etc.
Represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay. The Auditor will be responsible for all end-of-day accounting functions and will need to communicate with the security team to ensure the safety of our guests. Verifies the guest's method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures. Files guest and room information in the appropriate front desk area.
- Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.
- Assists in preregistration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
- Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit, and cash handling policies and procedures.
- Follow the End of Day/Night Audit Checklist.
- Express Check outs ready for delivery.
- Audit and balance reports from the day shifts
- Run end-of-day computer functions so they are complete by the end of the shift.
- Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notification i.e.: late check outs, early check ins, special request.
- Possesses a working knowledge of the reservation department. Takes same day reservations (walk ins) and future reservations when necessary.
- Knows cancellation procedures.
- Maintains stock of guest keys, VIP key packets, guest key packet, pens, amenities etc.
- Knows how to use front office equipment.
- Process guest check outs.
- Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest accounts.
- Follows procedures for issuing and closing safe deposit boxes used by guests.
- Works closely with maintenance on requests for repair work.
- Uses proper telephone etiquette.
- Reads and initials the pass-along log, bulletin board and group resumes binder daily.
- Knows all safety and emergency procedures. Incident Reports.
- Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk and back office area.
