Job Description

About the Position We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our hotel team. The Night Auditor plays an important role in creating a great guest experience while also ensuring the hotel's daily financial and front desk processes are completed accurately. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys helping people, pays close attention to detail, and can remain calm and professional when handling guest needs during the overnight hours. What You'll Do As our Night Auditor, you will: Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout the overnight shift. Check guests in and out and assist with reservations, room assignments, keys, and general hotel information. Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Answer incoming telephone calls and assist guests with reservation and hotel-related questions. Complete the hotel's nightly audit procedures and accurately close out the business day. Review guest accounts, postings, payments, and transactions for accuracy. Balance front desk transactions, credit card activity, and applicable hotel reports. Identify and correct discrepancies when possible and communicate outstanding issues to management. Prepare and distribute required daily reports. Monitor hotel activity and help maintain a safe and secure environment during overnight hours. Communicate important guest situations, maintenance concerns, and operational information to the morning team. Assist with light cleaning, organization, lobby upkeep, or breakfast preparation when needed. Follow Marriott brand standards and hotel policies and procedures. Handle confidential guest and hotel information appropriately. Perform additional duties as needed to support hotel operations and our guests. What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: Dependable and able to consistently work scheduled overnight shifts. Friendly, professional, and genuinely enjoys taking care of guests. Comfortable working independently and making good decisions when management may not be on property. Detail-oriented and comfortable working with numbers and financial information. Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. A strong communicator with good problem-solving skills. Comfortable using computers and learning hotel systems. Able to remain calm and professional when handling guest complaints or unexpected situations. Able to work weekends and holidays as required by hotel operations. Previous hotel, front desk, customer service, cash-handling, or accounting experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Experience with Marriott's
