Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Night Audit for the Fairfield Inn Salem, VA which is managed by VP Management. As a member of our hospitality industry, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the hotel during the overnight hours.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct night audit procedures to balance and reconcile daily financial transactions
  • Process and post guest charges, payments, and adjustments accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare daily reports and distribute to appropriate hotel departments and management
  • Maintain accurate records of cash, credit, and debit transactions during shift
  • Respond to and resolve guest inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel standards are met
  • Follow all safety and security procedures and report any potential hazards or incidents
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in hotel front office or accounting position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems (PMS)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time
  • Knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and regulations is a plus
