Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Night Auditor at the Holiday Inn Express Waynesboro where your energy and attention to detail will ensure seamless overnight operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the night shift, balancing guest relations with administrative excellence. Your expertise in hospitality management and customer service will help maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction while ensuring the security and accuracy of nightly financial and operational reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Minor accounting, reconciliations, change of business date, balance transactions within the front desk computer system (65%). Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and, when necessary, future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts and sell strategies (5%). Handle guest check ins/check outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner (5%). Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, safety deposit boxes, etc. (15%). Cancel room reservations according to procedures (4%). Perform other duties as directed.
HOURS:
Primarily evening (11pm-7am) including a certain amount of weekends and holidays regularly throughout the year as needed. If this seems like a position you're best suited for, then we eagerly look forward to hearing from you!
Night Audit Functions:
Conduct a detailed audit of financial transactions, including guest folios, cash handling, and credit card charges. Reconcile daily revenue, verify postings, and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and distribute reports such as the Night Audit Report, Revenue Report, and Occupancy Report for hotel management. Close the day's financial activities and generate the Daily Flash Report. Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures across all operating departments.
Education, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or hospitality is preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in front office operations or night audit roles is desirable.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with guests and colleagues effectively.
Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution:
Ability to think quickly and resolve guest issues efficiently. Attention to

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in computer systems, hotel property management software, and basic accounting principles.
Cash Handling Experience:
Familiarity with handling payments, processing transactions, and balancing a cash drawer.

Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
