Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager with experience running a payroll in Israel to oversee payroll and related accounting activities for a services organization in Burlingame, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance payroll accuracy, financial reporting, and compliance while partnering closely with HR, external providers, and finance stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of payroll practices, and the ability to support key monthly and annual accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll administration for the Israel entity, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with local statutory requirements.
  • Lead month-end and year-end accounting tasks by preparing journal entries, recording accruals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and maintaining general ledger accuracy.
  • Produce recurring financial and cash flow reporting to support business visibility and informed decision-making.
  • Review payroll outputs through detailed analysis, data tie-outs, and payslip checks to confirm precision and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate employee-related financial administration, including onboarding changes, offboarding calculations, Form 161 documentation, and communication with payroll vendors and HR teams.
  • Track receivables and follow up on collection activity to help maintain healthy cash flow and account status.
  • Assist with revenue accounting activities such as recognizing revenue, monitoring deferred and unbilled balances, and calculating commissions.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records for intercompany transactions and related accounting activity.
  • Support statutory audits and tax-related filings by working with external auditors, tax advisors, and other consultants.
