9:00 AM-5:00 PM PT | Hybrid (1 day/week onsite, covered parking)

Role:

Our client in the wellness space is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist who will lead and execute full-cycle, multi-state payroll operations. This is a high-impact role requiring deep payroll expertise, tax knowledge, and strong cross-functional collaboration with HR and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead biweekly, multi-state payroll processing (salaried & hourly employees) Review payroll data including earnings, deductions, bonuses, and retro pay Manage garnishments, levies, and required withholdings Support payroll tax reconciliations, filings, and notice resolution Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate system data flow Generate payroll reports and support audits Identify process improvements and drive payroll best practices

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience
• Strong multi-state payroll tax knowledge
• Paycor experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
