Human Resources Manager Location:
Fort Lauderdale, FL Salary:
$80,000–$90,000 (Depending on Experience) Position Summary Our client, a growing construction company, is seeking an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Manager to oversee all HR and payroll functions. This highly visible role is responsible for payroll administration, employee relations, benefits, compliance, onboarding, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who can work independently, maintain compliance with employment regulations, and serve as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership. Key Responsibilities Process accurate weekly payroll for approximately 38 employees, including deductions, garnishments, reimbursements, and payroll updates Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and employment regulations Support payroll system administration and ongoing technology initiatives, including Miter Payroll and Sage Intacct Manage employee onboarding, personnel records, I-9 compliance, and HR documentation Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, while serving as the liaison with benefit providers Act as the primary HR contact for employee questions, policy guidance, and employee relations matters Maintain HR compliance, support performance documentation, and assist with other HR initiatives as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred 5–10 years of progressive HR and payroll experience Construction industry experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of payroll processing, employment law, HR compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations Experience with Sage Intacct, Foundation Software, Miter Payroll, or similar payroll/accounting systems HR or Payroll certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, CPP, FPC, etc.) is a plus Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred #
