We are seeking an District Business Operations Manager to support the day-to-day business and administrative operations of our Quad Cities District in Rock Island, Illinois. Position Summary The Internal Manager is a hands-on, working manager who partners closely with the District Director and FBG's corporate departments to keep district operations organized, accurate and moving forward. This role is directly involved in the daily details of running a busy district office, including payroll and timekeeping, billing support, inventory, employee questions, safety and compliance administration, recordkeeping and general office operations. The ideal candidate enjoys being the person others can count on to keep things organized, identify issues and follow through to resolution. This position is a good fit for someone who is comfortable balancing multiple priorities, working independently and stepping in wherever administrative support is needed. Key Responsibilities Coordinate district payroll and timekeeping processes, including reviewing records, identifying discrepancies and ensuring corrections are completed timely and accurately. Support billing, invoicing and other district accounting-related processes and deadlines. Maintain accurate employee, payroll and business records while protecting confidential information. Assist employees and managers with routine payroll, timekeeping, policy and employment-related questions, partnering with Human Resources when appropriate. Support district workers' compensation, safety and compliance processes, including documentation and follow-up. Coordinate inventory, supplies, purchasing documentation and receipt of district shipments. Help maintain an organized and efficient district office and warehouse environment. Provide day-to-day office support and assist employees, managers, customers and visitors as needed. Partner with the District Director and corporate departments to ensure company policies, procedures and deadlines are consistently followed. Identify administrative or operational issues, troubleshoot problems and follow through until resolved. Assist with reports, spreadsheets, documentation and other district administrative needs. Adapt to changing priorities and provide hands-on support where needed to keep district operations running smoothly. Qualifications Associate degree in business administration, accounting or a related field preferred; or 3-5 years of relevant administrative, payroll, bookkeeping or business operations experience in lieu of a degree. Experience with payroll, timekeeping, billing, bookkeeping, accounting support or office administration preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound judgment and ability to appropriately handle confidential employee and business information. Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems. Resourceful and solutions-oriented approach to problem solving. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with district leadership and corporate departments. Dependable, approachable and comfortable working directly with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong accountability and follow-through.
