IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees.) The role Are you a payroll leader who thrives on driving accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement? We're seeking a strategic Payroll Manager- North America to lead payroll operations across multiple locations while enhancing processes, systems, and service delivery. What You'll Do Lead end-to-end payroll processing across multiple sites and jurisdictions. Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, and statutory requirements. Oversee audits, reporting, and year-end payroll activities. Drive payroll system upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives. Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to improve payroll operations and data accuracy. Establish and monitor payroll KPIs and service levels. Analyze payroll data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements. Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed payroll team. What You'll Bring 5+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience. Experience managing multi-site and/or international payroll operations. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and compliance requirements. Proven success leading payroll system implementations, upgrades, or integrations. Experience working with payroll and HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or Oracle. Advanced Excel and payroll reporting capabilities. Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills. Professional payroll certification (CPP, FPC, CIPP, IPASS, or equivalent) preferred. Experience in a shared services or global business services environment is a plus.
