Job Description

Job Summary Client is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to oversee and administer our organization's payroll functions with precision and compliance. This role involves managing payroll processing systems, ensuring adherence to labor laws and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in payroll management and a thorough understanding of HRIS systems to support our dynamic team. Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, ADP, UKG or Kronos to ensure accurate and timely salary payments. Maintain compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and tax laws across multiple locations Ensure accurate calculation of payroll taxes, benefits administration, and deductions in accordance with legal requirements. Prepare payroll reports and metrics for leadership, including labor cost analysis and headcount reconciliation. Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures; ensure proper internal controls and audit readiness. Stay current on changes in payroll law, tax regulations, and industry best practices. Handle confidential employee information with integrity and discretion throughout all payroll activities. Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure proper recording of payroll expenses in the general ledger. Prepare detailed reports on payroll costs Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field Minimum of five years' experience in payroll management within a corporate or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience processing payroll for 500+ employees, ideally in a multi-state environment. Proven expertise with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro. Strong knowledge of employment law, tax law related to payroll taxes, and labor law compliance. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel), accounting software (QuickBooks or similar), and HRIS platforms. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information accurately while maintaining confidentiality. Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail and organizational efficiency.
