On-sitePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and leadership-driven Senior Payroll Manager with strong construction industry payroll experience. The ideal candidate will oversee, streamline, and scale payroll operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of end-to-end payroll functions.

The Senior Payroll Manager will partner closely with HR, Finance, and Legal and lead a payroll team of approximately 4 members.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred7+ years of progressive payroll experience3+ years in a dedicated payroll management positionStrong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing and payroll accounting systemsExperience with payroll reconciliationsAdvanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas, etc.

Experience preparing Form 940, Form 941, and W-2sStrong experience with union payroll processing, reporting, compliance, audits, and union remittancesConstruction industry experience preferredCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation highly desiredExperience with CMiC construction software preferredExperience with Sage Timberline preferredPayroll/system implementation experience preferredKey ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end payroll processing, including data input, validation, and payroll distributionLead, mentor, and develop a payroll team of approximately 4 employeesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulationsConduct payroll audits and identify/correct discrepanciesEnsure accuracy of employee records, tax withholdings, and compensationPrepare and analyze payroll reports and payroll cost informationCollaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issuesUtilize and optimize payroll software and technologyEvaluate and implement new payroll technologies and systemsPartner with HR on benefits administration, including health insurance and retirement contributionsEnsure accurate and timely payroll tax filings and statutory deductionsPerform payroll reconciliations and verify compensation recordsIdentify and implement process improvements and efficiency enhancementsMaintain strong accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and operational controls throughout payroll operationsBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance95% of insurance premiums paid by the companyRetirement plansPaid time offProfessional development opportunitiesYear-end discretionary bonusAnnual performance reviewsOn-site parkingDaily lunch on-site
