Job Description
Vaco is recruiting for a Payroll Manager located on the east side of Cincinnati. This is a direct hire opportunity - salary: $80K-$95
K Responsibilities:
- Process and submit bi-weekly payroll, multi-state payroll, garnishments, and taxes.
- Data entry of payroll inputs (i.e. commissions, bonuses, fringe benefits).
- Maintain and update employee payroll information in software (i.e. direct deposits, federal, state and local taxes).
- Maintain time system and electronic timecards.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Provide training to employees on payroll related items as needed.
- Ensure all deductions are funded timely. Prepare and submit deduction files file biweekly to various vendors.
- Issues or reissues replacement checks or direct deposits as needed.
- Review of payroll tax and wage withholding reports for federal, state, and local jurisdictions (prepared by third party).
- Remit all voluntary deductions (401k, ESPP, etc.).
- Manage change request process for data file for file transfer from the payroll system to the benefits system, as needed.
- Ensure that all W-2s are postmarked by January 31st annually.
- Ensure that all W-2s add on amounts are properly processed (auto, legal allowances, stock option income, etc.).
- Provide information for quarterly and annual SOX audits.
- Keep up to date on payroll tax law changes.
- Assist in reconciling payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
