Job Description

Payroll Systems Manager (HRIS & Process Improvement) SW Portland, OR (Hybrid - 2 Days Onsite) CV Resources is partnering with a global industry leader to identify a Payroll Systems Manager to drive enterprise payroll technology, process improvement, and cross-functional initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys improving payroll operations through technology—not running payroll every pay period. You'll work closely with Payroll, HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to enhance payroll systems, streamline processes, and lead high-impact projects across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead payroll system enhancements, upgrades, and enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives. Partner with Payroll, HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors to optimize payroll technology and business processes. Manage system configuration, testing, implementations, and ongoing enhancements. Analyze complex payroll system issues and develop scalable, long-term solutions. Support integrations, reporting, data integrity, and system performance. Drive automation initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Ensure payroll systems align with internal controls, SOX requirements, and regulatory compliance. Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll technology and continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
8+ years of experience in Payroll Systems, HRIS, Payroll Operations, or a related field. Experience supporting enterprise payroll platforms (ADP Vantage highly preferred). Strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and multi-state payroll environments. Experience leading system implementations, enhancements, testing, and troubleshooting. Proven project management and cross-functional leadership experience. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in a SOX-controlled or highly regulated environment is a plus.

Pay:
$120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
