Oversee payroll processing activities, including data entry, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting related to payroll expenses. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and governmental reporting requirements across all jurisdictions. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while handling payroll data with integrity and professionalism. Collaborate with HRIS teams to optimize payroll and HR systems integration, including Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or other time & attendance systems. Conduct detailed analysis of payroll reports, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare audit documentation for internal and external reviews. Stay current on updates in payroll tax law, labor law compliance, and financial concepts to implement best practices within payroll operations. Experience Proven experience managing corporate payroll functions within a fast-paced environment with a strong understanding of payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro. Extensive knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks or similar financial software; familiarity with non-profit accounting is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting principles like double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Strong understanding of employment & labor law as well as payroll tax regulations across multiple regions or countries. Skilled in analysis and problem-solving with the ability to interpret complex data sets using spreadsheets and financial analysis tools. Experience handling confidential information with discretion while managing large volumes of data entry accurately using 10 key typing skills.
