Job Description
The Opportunity:
The Payroll Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and is responsible for providing exceptional service and support throughout the payroll and billing process. This role manages the review and processing of payroll and billing, assists with payroll compliance and error prevention, and serves as a trusted resource for clients regarding payroll and billing related needs. The Payroll Account Manager works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure payroll and billing is processed accurately and timely, client-specific requirements are met, and potential compliance or processing concerns are identified and addressed proactively.Essential Functions:
Payroll Processing and Review- Review payroll submitted by clients for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established payroll requirements.
- Process payroll and billing in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
- Identify and investigate payroll and billing discrepancies and coordinate corrections as needed.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely to support successful pay delivery.
- Assist with resolving payroll issues, including late payments, payment concerns, adjustments, and other payroll-related matters.
- Escalate issues appropriately when additional expertise, approval, or management support is required.
- Contribute to process improvements that increase payroll accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training and development related to payroll, billing, compliance, and company processes. Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and develop strong, professional working relationships.
- Respond to and resolve client questions and inquiries related to payroll, billing, payments, reports, and other account-related needs.
- Provide timely and professional communication regarding payroll and billing processing, issues, deadlines, and required follow-up.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in all client interactions.
Education and Experience:
- Previous payroll, payroll operations, client service, or account management experience preferred.
- Workday experience, a plus.
- Staffing industry experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of payroll concepts and processes.
- Ability to understand and apply payroll-related rules and requirements.
- Experience working with payroll or HRIS systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and inconsistencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- This opportunity requires in office training, typically Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
