We are specifically looking for a Payroll Manager with a well-rounded accounting and finance background to join our growing team. What is The Reserve? What We're Looking For:
Manage full-cycle payroll processing for salaried, hourly, and contract employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution. Oversee multi-state payroll , including state and local tax requirements, wage-and-hour regulations, garnishments, deductions, and compliance. Review and approve payroll calculations, timekeeping, overtime, PTO, bonuses, commissions, benefits, and other earnings/deductions. Manage payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end reporting, including W-2s and other required payroll documentation. Maintain accurate payroll records and perform regular payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations . Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and system issues through root-cause analysis. Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, controls, and SOPs to improve accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Monitor payroll-related internal controls and support internal and external audits. Partner with HR, Accounting, Finance, and Operations to ensure accurate employee data, labor costs, reporting, and financial information. Oversee payroll-related systems and HRIS platforms, including system administration, reporting, testing, upgrades, and implementations. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline payroll processes , reduce errors, and improve processing efficiency. Prepare payroll and labor reports for management, including headcount, payroll expense, overtime, accruals, and other key metrics. Manage and develop payroll staff, providing training, performance management, and operational guidance. Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations . Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive employee and payroll information. Why Join The Reserve?
