Payroll Manager
Job Description
KBW has partnered with a growing construction firm in the greater Newton area that's actively looking to add an experienced Payroll Manager to their team. The Payroll Manager will report directly into the Controller and will have lots of room for growth. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring compliance with all federal and state guidelines, overseeing a payroll specialist as well as assisting with other ad hoc duties. This is a direct hire position and they're currently operating in a hybrid capacity with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
Main Duties:
Manage an accurate and timely weekly payroll Ensure all payroll is in compliance with federal and state guidelines Oversee all Payroll Tax filings, audits and reconciliations Assist with month and year end for Payroll Process union benefit contributions, labor rates, and other deductions Oversee a Payroll Specialist and provide mentorship Identify and implement process improvements Assist with other ad hoc payroll duties as necessary
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience At least 3-5 years experience of high volume payroll CPP certification is preferred but not required Experience processing in-house payroll is a plus Construction/ Union Payroll experience is preferred (experience with CMiC is a plus) Excellent communication skills The compensation for this role is between 100-125K depending on experience.
