Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our employees by ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining HR records, and providing excellent employee support in a fast-paced lumber manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is organized, confidential, and experienced with payroll and human resources processes. This role will work closely with management, supervisors, and employees throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time. Review employee timecards, attendance records, overtime, and shift hours. Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate wages, deductions, and benefit information. Assist employees with payroll questions and resolve discrepancies. Manage employee records, new hire paperwork, and employment changes. Support onboarding and offboarding processes. Assist with benefits administration and HR documentation. Maintain confidentiality of employee information. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations. Preferred Qualifications Previous payroll or HR experience preferred. Knowledge of payroll practices, wage laws, and employment regulations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive information professionally. Proficiency with payroll software, HR systems, and Microsoft Office/Excel. Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay based on experience.
